Bad Blood have played together on an assortment of games for quite some time.
Our roots are in Dark Age of Camelot, though since then we have ventured into WoW, Archlord,
Vanguard: Saga Of Heroes and of course Counter-Strike Source.
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
WAR is an MMO based on Games Workshops Warhammer boardgame and was developed by Mythic (Creators of DAOC). The game appears to be pretty good so far, only complaints are its instabilty!
Dark Age of Camelot
Dark Age of camelot is a MMORPG set in... well.. the Dark Ages. It's got a great balance
of PVE and PVP. DAoC PVP comes in two forms. Bog standard PVP, on specific ruleset servers and
the more common Realm vs Realm. RVR is basically a large scale on going three way war. Between
the realms of Albion, Hibernia and Midgard. It's a very complex game, containing crafting, questing
standard grind and ofcourse PVP. There are different ruleset servers, such as PVP, Classic(No TOA) and
Roleplay servers. DAoC is where Bad Blood was made, it will always have a place on our hard drives.
Counter-Strike:Source
CS:S is a source mod availiable on Steam. CS:S is the same concept as the origional Counter-Stike,
though has been implemented on the source engine. Meaning better graphics and physics. The game in
essence is still the same. Basic scenarios, terrorists have to plant a bomb or hold people hostage,
counter terrorists have to save the day. Bad Blood have played CS:S and a modification of CS:S known
as Gun Game. Gun Game is a standard deathmatch environment, where there is no scenario other than
to kill the opposite team. Each kill you get, you progress to a better gun. This climaxes in a grenade
level and then a knife level. It's really good fun, especially with friends.
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Vanguard is an MMORPG set in a fictional world. The game is good vs evil, and there are PVE and PVP
servers. Whilst there are many quests, and the game as a whole is a cross between DAoC and WoW, it is
just far too slow to get anywhere. After two weeks we'd only managed level 15, and it was getting progressively
slower. Although this game had great potential, with great concepts and really interesting classes, it proved
to be far too much of a grind to get stuck into. This is always a problem with a new game, because there's nothing
worse than getting to max level, it having taken ages, only to find that your class sucks, or you hate the gameplay
of it and would prefer a different character. Bad Blood likes its variety!
Archlord
Archlord is an MMORPG that, well, to be honest with you... sucks big time. After only a month of the game going
live they realised that people wouldn't pay monthly for that crap, and made it free to play. In Bad Bloods opinion
there just wasn't enough skill involved in the game. Winning a fight vs another player depended entirely on how
many heal pots you had in your backpack. If you had more than your enemy, you won. If you ran out, curtains I'm afraid.
Fact is, the game was new, slow, lacked healing classes, and the ability to be certain sexes for certain races. It was
depressing to play, and long before beta ended, we couldn't be seen for dust!
World of Warcraft
Bad Blood played WoW briefly, after a month most members missed DAoC and realised that the game seriously lacked something.
There's no point in writing a review of such a huge game. Fact is, if you're interested in games, you'll know all about
it, and if you're not. What the fuck are you doing on this site? Foo'!. We didn't get on with the game. Fin.
